Updates for Mavention Birthdays and Mavention Anniversaries

Updates for Mavention Birthdays and Mavention Anniversaries header image

Almost eighteen months ago we released the first version of the Mavention Birthdays and the Mavention Anniversaries. As predicted then building add-ins turned out to be quite addicting and we released a few more Mavention add-ins. Currently we are running seventeen different add-ins in the Office store, all of them free of charge. With all those add-ins we also received some great feedback on how we can improve those add-ins.

Based on that feedback we released a new version of both the Mavention Birthdays (1.0.2.0), andMavention Anniversaries (1.0.3.5). The add-ins have been updated to provide full add-in part support in on-premises scenario’s. Now you can use the add-in parts of both add-ins to show the anniversaries and birthdays in an on-premises scenario. Besides this update there also have been several minor style fixes to make add-in part look smoother in any page scenario.

Finally to accommodate the changes for the on-premises installation, the installation descriptions are update.

Updating

If you already have the add-in installed in your environment whether it is on-premises or in the cloud you only have to update the add-in. You can find a short description on updating an add-in on MSDN How to: Update add-ins for SharePoint. There is no impact on existing configuration, so all you have to do is update and you will receive the latest version.
