In November the SharePoint Connect will be held for the 6th time in the Netherlands, and as the past few times it will be held at the the Meervaart Theater. Last year I had the opportunity to do a session on Navigation in a Multi Site Collection environment and am glad that I will have the opportunity to do a session this year as well. There is a great line up with some great sessions at the SharePoint Connect 2014.

I will be speaking on Providing search intents for your SharePoint 2013 search with Apps. With SharePoint 2013 Microsoft released a new application model and introduced a new search experience. By leveraging the new Application Model and SharePoint Search we can build apps that provide search intents. By providing these type of functionalities to the SharePoint Search interface you can help your users to ask user friendly questions and be provided with meaningful results.

By doing live demo’s in Office 365 we will dive into the wonderful world of apps and on how you can connect and extend the search experience. It will be a level-300 session focusing on developers, so we won’t be covering the basics of app development or deployment but rather focus on the connectivity between the Search interface and your App. From this point we will be try to bring search intents to your environment.

You should register now for SharePoint Connect 2014 and I hope to see you all there!
