MVP 2026, M365 Development and M365 Copilot

Twelve years in and somehow I’m still surprised when the email lands 🥳. I have just received the news that I’ve been re-awarded as MVP for another year, this time for M365 Development and, for the first time, M365 Copilot. A few weeks after the FastTrack Recognized Solution Architect renewal as well, so it has been a good month for recognition.

A lot of the work I’ve been doing this year has been in the AI and Copilot (Studio) space, and seeing that recognised alongside M365 Development is a nice reflection of where both the community and my own focus have been heading.

Copilot, Cowork and a hackathon podium

The past year had a highlight I didn’t see coming. Microsoft ran the Agent Academy Hackathon and I entered the Cowork Collective track with a Client Kick-off Skill for Copilot Cowork. The skill takes a signed proposal deck and turns it into a ready-to-run client kickoff in a single approval-gated conversation. We ended up taking second place, which I am still pretty hyped about.

It was a good reminder that the best way to learn what agents can and can’t do is to actually build something that has to work in the real world not just in a demo.

PnP Community

Being an MVP means staying connected to the community and to Microsoft, and for me a big part of that is the Patterns & Practices initiative. A lot of the tooling that makes daily M365 and Power Platform development bearable lives there, and it is genuinely inspiring to see how many talented people contribute their time to keeping it sharp.

CollabDaysNL and looking ahead

We had a great CollabDays Netherlands 2026 in June, always one of the events I look forward to most. And later this year I’ll be at ESPC 2026 in Amsterdam talking about securing agents and the OWASP LLM Top 10. If you’re coming, come find me!

Here’s to year thirteen. 🎉
