Extending Agents from Copilot Studio

Working with Copilot Studio is great for building quick agents! But what if you want to go further?

In this session at the European BizApps Summit in Cologne, we explore how to extend agents built with Copilot Studio. We cover three main areas.

First, we look at connecting Azure OpenAI and Microsoft Foundry to Copilot Studio. The built‑in models are fine for many cases. But sometimes you want more control, or a different model for a specific task, and that is where Microsoft Foundry comes in!

Second, we talk about Application Insights. You can build the smartest agent in the world, but without good analytics you don’t know what actually happens. Insights help you see where users get stuck and what the agent does under load. It’s not magic.

Third, we walk through building your own interface. Sometimes a chatbot window isn’t enough. Sometimes you want the agent inside an existing app, or you need a custom UI that fits your workflow.
